# DXF

> DXF export for drawings comes in the next release.

DXF is the exchange format for 2D CAD drawings. With DXF export, you can open a Floorkit plan, section or elevation in a CAD tool as editable linework.

## What you can do today

* Export sheets as [PDF](/floorkit/api/exports/export-project-pdf). The PDF contains vector linework.
* Read the linework of a view with [`drawProjectView`](/floorkit/api/drawings/draw-project-view). It returns lines, arcs, regions and text in metres.
