doorType chooses how a Door draws and builds. A saved door with no doorType is WOOD. The pictures show a 0.90 m door with doorQuadrant 1 and a swing of 90°.
Every swinging leaf has one arc in plan. The arc runs from the closed leaf to the leaf tip, over swingAngleDegrees: 0 is closed and draws no arc, 90 is square to the wall, 180 is flat against it. In an elevation, two mark lines meet at the hinge side of each leaf. The marks are dashed when the leaf opens away from you.
WOOD, GLASS and OTHER draw the same plan symbol. GLASS differs in 3D only.
WOOD
- Plan: one leaf and one swing arc.
- Elevation: two mark lines meet at the hinge jamb.
- 3D: one solid leaf.
GLASS
- Plan: one leaf and one swing arc, as
WOOD. - Elevation: two mark lines meet at the hinge jamb.
- 3D: a glass pane (part role
glazing) in a 0.06 m leaf frame.
DOUBLEDOOR
- Plan: two leaves of half the width, hinged at the two jambs, each with its own arc. They open to the same face.
- Elevation: two mark lines per leaf, each pair meeting at its own jamb.
- 3D: two leaves.
SLIDING
- Plan: a closed leaf on the face that
doorQuadrantchooses, and an arrow toward the hinge-side jamb. No arc. - Elevation: a horizontal arrow toward the hinge-side jamb. It is never dashed.
- 3D: one closed leaf on that face.
FOLDING
- Plan: two panels of half the width in a zigzag, folded by half the swing angle. The free end stays on the face line. No arc.
- Elevation: two mark lines per panel. The first panel hinges at the jamb, the second at the edge it shares with the first.
- 3D: the same two panels.
DOUBLEACTION
- Plan: one leaf at the swing angle, and one arc on each face.
- Elevation: two mark lines meet at the hinge jamb. They are never dashed: the leaf opens both ways.
- 3D: one leaf.
OTHER
- Plan, elevation and 3D: as
WOOD.
Hinge and swing
doorQuadrant sets the hinge jamb and the face that the leaf opens to. Stand at the first point of the wall and look along the wall.
The inspector shows
doorQuadrant as two fields, hinge side and swing side.
